These structured classes are designed for beginners, hobbyists, and serious students who want to build real skill at the anvil. You’ll work with hot steel, professional tools, and certified instructors as you develop the core techniques every smith must master. This is fun, hands-on work — but it’s also real training.

Students learn proper hammer control, heat management, tapering, bending, punching, drifting, heat treatment, and forge welding. You’ll build real tools needed for forging, and use them! — punches, chisels, hammers, tongs, and more. These blacksmithing fundamentals classes give you the foundational skills needed for traditional blacksmithing, bladesmithing, and modern metal fabrication.
