Bladesmithing and Knife Making Classes

Our bladesmithing and knife making classes teach you how to forge real, functional blades from start to finish. These hands-on classes are built for beginners, hobbyists, and serious students who want to develop real skill at the anvil while creating knives they can be proud to use and carry.

You’ll work with hot steel, professional tools, and experienced instructors as you learn core bladesmithing techniques including forging blade profiles, bevels, tapering, heat treating, grinding, finishing, and handle work. Some classes also introduce forge welding and pattern-welded Damascus steel.

These classes are designed so you can start with no experience and continue building skill over time. Many students come for the experience of forging their first knife. Others use these classes to build a foundation for advanced bladesmithing and future certification-track training as our program expands.
